Listing Description

University of Vermont Extension’s New Farmer Project and Women’s Agricultural Network offer education and coaching for aspiring and early stage farmers. Through our self-paced, online Growing Places course, participants learn about goal setting and decision making; financial and business management; accessing capital and credit; the basics of marketing agricultural products; and the essential elements of a business plan. People who complete course assignments have engaged in strategic thinking, outlined an action plan for next steps, and are typically well-positioned for more intensive business planning technical assistance.
