Listing Description

The National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT) has been working with underserved farmers for over 30 years, providing information about sustainable agriculture. NCAT manages the ATTRA Sustainable Agriculture Program under a cooperative agreement with USDA Rural Business-Cooperative Service and has organizational experience serving farmers and ranchers nationally with a wide array of educational resources and direct one-on-one support to any farmer or rancher seeking information broadly about agriculture and particularly sustainable agriculture. NCAT, through its ATTRA Program, has produced and maintained over 500 publications, 150 podcasts, 150 videos and 50 webinars and tutorials. NCAT has conducted beginning farmer training for more than three decades and has received national recognition for the impact of its Armed to Farm veteran farmer training program. NCAT has a far-reaching team of sustainable agriculture specialists which provide technical assistance on many agricultural topics such as: livestock management, beekeeping, small scale vegetable growing, and hemp production.
