Listing Description

The Local Enterprise Assistance Fund (LEAF) is a nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that empowers communities and workers through the financing of democratically-owned enterprises and social purpose ventures, the provision of loan and technical assistance (TA) to minority-owned businesses, and the expansion of access to healthy food in underserved areas.

LEAF promotes healthy food and sustainable agriculture across Massachusetts through the MA Food Trust Program. LEAF’s technical assistance helps businesses develop and implement strategic plans, refine operations, and take control of their finances. At the core of this work are the issues of equity and inclusion in health and economics. We strongly believe in the right of every person to a quality job, access to affordable healthy food, and adequate, stable housing.
