Listing Description

Founded in 2014, the Good Meat Project, a national nonprofit organization, is on a mission to catalyze marketplace innovation, connection, and education in order to increase the economic viability and ecological impact of livestock farmers who invest in healthy land, animals, and people. We connect people across the meat value chain and provide free access to education resources and technical assistance tools for farmers, ranchers, butchers, chefs, and eaters.

Our programs support responsible and ethical approaches to raising, processing, procuring, cooking and eating meat, anchored by practices that are centered in transparency. We envision a future where meat is produced ethically and responsibly, by an industry that invests in healthy animals and landscapes, values people all across the food supply chain, and nourishes diverse, well-informed consumers.
